Tax Preparation
Have questions?
Ready To Get Started….
The Process
Step 1: Gathering Information
You will be receiving a series of emails from us on collecting information. This is where you do some work. It’s important to provide everything you have at one time and be as thorough as possible to have a smooth process with minimal back and forth.
Once you complete the process I will be notified that you are ready for us to review your information. We’ll follow up if we are still missing info and will begin preparation once everything is provided.
Step 2: Services In Progress
When we receive all your documents your “start date” officially begins and is added to the queue for prep and review. This is where you wait on me and my team. You may receive some questions, but ideally, we’ll have all we need and are moving through our internal process. We’ll be reviewing your numbers, calculating your return, and reviewing for perfection and opportunities.
Step 3: Delivery + Invoice + Efile
When we’re done, you’ll receive a few emails letting you know that the tax return is ready for you to view and download securely. Once you’re happy with your return, you’ll be able to e-sign it and pay us online via ACH (bank products are also available). You’ll also have the next steps to pay taxes online if applicable. The above will trigger us to e-file your return and you’ll receive a confirmation email letting you know once it’s complete!
Client Expectations
Uploading Tax Documentation
You’ll be responsible for completing the Tax Organizer timely. You will receive a tax document request list that can assist you as a guide and a link to your client portal where you can upload documents. All sensitive information should be sent via your client portal as email is not secure and will not be retained.
Response Time
During tax season we aim to respond within 24-48 hours to emails with questions.
Delays
The last two years have been unpredictable regarding IRS delays and last-minute guidance altering tax returns. Therefore, it is your responsibility to ensure that all documents are provided timely as requested.
Payment Policy
We require full payment prior to e-filing the tax return. If you are on a payment plan, the balance has to be paid prior to submission. Payment is due at the time of delivery.
